  • Improve autonomic nervous system activity

  • Increases healthy attachment and bonding between child and caregiver

  • Can ease physical symptoms as well as emotional discomforts associated with pediatric medical conditions

  • Improves respiratory function

  • Improves growth and development

  • Improves sleep patterns

  • Reduces anxiety

  • Decreases stress hormones

  • Enhances immune function

  • May enhance improved motor function and muscle tone

  • Infant Massage

Book a private or group massage class. Infant massage is for babies 3 weeks old - 12 months. Learning infant massage benefits both the caregiver and infant as it helps with bonding and may help parents with PPD/PPA.

It’s a wonderful tool that can be used to support development, meet milestones, improve sleep, reduce pain and more (see above for benefits).

  • Pediatric Massage Therapy

This session is designed for older children. Ideal for the child who plays sports, has a sports related injury, is facing physical or emotional difficulties (grief, divorce, moving, anxiety, depression, etc), or the child who enjoys massage therapy for wellness benefits. Often, children who start with touch therapy move on to massage sessions. Session length is dependent on the child, is performed clothed (shorts and t-shirt/tank ok) and may or may not be table based. As always, every aspect of the session is adapted to the child.

  • Pediatric Touch Therapy

This session is designed for children as young as 2-3 years old and up. It may include touch therapy strategies (ex. introducing different textures) outside of hands on therapy to help introduce the child to touch, build trust and allow the child breaks as needed with brief activities. The session may include teaching and practicing techniques with the parent(s). As always, the session will take shape based on the child’s needs and can vary session to session. Touch therapy is recommended on a consistent basis as each session is designed to build upon the previous session. In-home sessions are available for families who purchase a wellness plan.
