Prenatal Massage Testimonials

Prenatal care from day one to due date

Prenatal massage is not just a luxury—it's a vital component of prenatal care, safe from the very beginning of your pregnancy journey. At your first session with our prenatal massage specialist, we'll conduct a comprehensive health intake and assessment to tailor our approach to your unique needs. We're vigilant about your safety and well-being; should any concerns or contraindications arise at any point, we'll explore alternatives that ensure your comfort and health, including seeking doctor’s clearance or adjusting the massage technique.

Choose a full-body session for overall comfort or a targeted approach to address specific pains as you progress through your pregnancy. We adapt each session to your current stage and preferences—some enjoy monthly sessions, while others might need focused sessions for discomfort, requiring more frequent visits.

For pain management and comprehensive care, consider a 90-minute session to allow for thorough technique application and lasting benefits. For relaxation, a 60-minute session is effective. Please choose length of session accordingly as I cannot add time for bathroom breaks or adjustments in order to respect my next clients time. • TMJD: 30 min / 60 min

New clients, please choose First Time Clients on booking page.

A session for the temporomandibular joint (jaw) is excellent for those with temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJD) or pelvic floor dysfunction. When stressed, we may hold tension in our jaw, and chronic stress can also impact the tension in the pelvic floor and lead to dysfunction. By alleviating tension in the jaw and reducing stress through massage, we may relieve the pelvic floor's tension, which is essential for childbirth.

Work will be performed externally and may include intra-oral work with latex-free gloves.

All new clients, please book the First Time Clients session to discuss health history and begin with thorough work of the chest, shoulders, neck, and head. Follow-up sessions will be booked in the office at a recommended frequency.

  • Natural Labor Enhancement: 90 min

New and existing clients, please choose Natural Labor Enhancement on booking page.

A Natural Labor Enhancement session are for pregnancies 40 weeks and over. During this session, your prenatal massage specialist will use specific techniques and acupressure points to help stimulate labor. Massage helps reduce stress and increase oxytocin levels and utilizing pressure points can naturally encourage the labor process to begin. Connecting with your body and creating a sense of safety and peace will be important to continue after the session.

Effects of the session may begin 24-72 hours later. While one session can help get things going, two sessions may be needed. However, please remember that labor stimulation efforts, whether massage or other efforts, labor will ultimately begin when both mother and baby are ready. Check out our blog to learn more
